The New Pride of the Croatian Coast Guard!

Published: 06.03.2025.

A formal welcome ceremony for the crew and the coastal patrol vessel CPV-32 Umag was held on March 5, 2025, at Vargarola Barracks in Pula. This marked the vessel’s first arrival at its home port after it was officially handed over and commissioned into the Croatian Navy on January 17, 2025, in Split.

CPV-32 Umag belongs to the Omiš-class of patrol vessels. It is 43.16 meters long and equipped with advanced systems, including a remotely operated weapon station with a 30mm automatic cannon, two manually operated 12.7mm machine guns, and four portable air defense missile systems. The vessel has a crew capacity of 17, an operational endurance of up to ten days, and a top speed of 28 knots, powered by two main engines with a total output of 2 × 2525 kW (2 × 3386 HP).

We take great pride in having built, in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Ministry of Defense (MORH), the CPV-31 “Omiš” and CPV-32 “Umag”. With their state-of-the-art equipment and exceptional seafaring capabilities, these vessels have significantly enhanced the operational capacity of both the Croatian Navy and the Croatian Coast Guard. Their presence further strengthens maritime security, ensuring more effective monitoring and protection of Croatia’s rights and interests at sea.
